Philip Lawrence Sherrod was born in 1935 in PaulsValley, Oklahoma. At the age of 3yrs. old began to

draw lions, watch clouds and spent an aimless child

hood dreaming. To awake-receiving his B.S.Degree in Zoology, 1957; B.A. Degree in Art, 1959; at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Then in 1960 was attending the Art Students League, New York,

New York, under a Federation of Arts & Letters-Scholarship. In 1967;1969;1974 received three Childe Hassam Purchase Awards for Painting from the American Academy of Arts & Letters. His Paintings appear in Praeger Publishers"The New Humanism/Art in a Time ofChange",Barry Schwartz,1974. He has had numerous exhibitions of his paintings-and now shows at the.. (1968-2010)
